Mathieu Makhlouf, born with an innate passion for art, began drawing and painting at six. In 2017, he faced a pivotal moment, having to stop formal art classes and confront his creative journey alone. Without external guidance, Mathieu delved deep to discover his true artistic goals, marking a transformative adventure. In 2023, Mathieu earned a Master's degree in Architecture with distinction from USEK, Lebanon. His graduation project reflected his vision of using art to explore and express social perspectives of a perfect world. Alongside his architectural studies, Mathieu pursued theology, earning a diploma in 2020, and achieved a diploma in art history from Art Explora Academy. Mathieu’s work profoundly explores human values, theoretically seeking the possibility of a utopia. His goal is to use art to express ideas and provoke questions, inspiring people to appreciate life anew. Captivated by contrasts and extremes, his work strives to be both black and white without being gray, embodying freedom.
