Loreta
Loreta Bilniskaite-Monie was born in Lithuania during a time when freedom of expression was suppressed. Raised by a strong, independent mother who had been exiled to Siberia under Stalin’s regime, and influenced by her father, a prominent artist, Loreta’s upbringing was steeped in resilience and creativity. As Lithuania embraced change, Loreta immersed herself in the underground art scene of Vilnius, contributing to a cultural revolution in art, fashion, and music. This transformative period deeply influenced her artistic vision. In 1992, encouraged by her family, Loreta moved to London to study at St. Martins School of Art & Design. Fate introduced her to Alexander McQueen, propelling her into the London fashion world. She worked with icons like Vivienne Westwood and Paul Smith, becoming one of London's top models. After a successful modeling career, Loreta returned to her true passion, studying art and design at St. Martins. Here, she refined her technical skills and established herself as a dedicated artist. Loreta’s journey, intertwined with fashion, music, and art, reflects her unyielding spirit and dedication to creative expression.
