Ahmed Al Toqi

Ahmed Al-Toqi, a photographer from Ibra in Oman, has nurtured his artistic passion since childhood. He loved drawing scenes from his region, inspired by palm farms, traditional markets, and horse and camel races. In his twenties, he began using the camera as a modern tool to express his deep artistic feelings. With his unique vision, he captures local natural scenes in his own style, reflecting his inner emotions while contemplating these views. Ahmed’s work often features rare scenes of daily life in markets, farms, and local events, with a significant portion in black and white to highlight the details and essence of his subjects, free from the distraction of colors. With over 15 years of professional photography experience, Ahmed has worked on exceptional and inspiring projects, including collaborations with the Museum of Oman Across Ages and the BBC. He has received numerous international and local awards, including the National Geographic global contest, first and second places in the Kuwait Aerial Photography Competition, and first place in the Zubair Architectural Photography Competition.
