Quentin Desmit
Quentin Desmit, a visionary contemporary artist from Belgium, captures the ephemeral beauty of paint in motion through his evocative style. His artistry, known as "The Curvism," transcends traditional boundaries, reflecting a seamless dance between color and form.
Desmit’s journey began with overcoming dyslexia, leading him to explore diverse mediums for over thirty years. His breakthrough came with the paintbrush, which he reimagined as the central motif in his work, embodying the fluidity and grace of movement.
A graduate of the William Morris Academy in Fine Arts and Photography, Desmit also holds a degree in Interior and Spatial Design from the Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. His background in architecture influences his sculptures, balancing tradition with modernity, and motion with stillness. Since relocating to the
UAE in 2012, Desmit has integrated Arabic calligraphy into his art, further enriching his dynamic and evolving visual language. His work continues to push the boundaries of expression, blending vibrant colors with expressive curves to create timeless, captivating pieces.
