Samir Tamari
Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Samir Tamari's passion for drawing and painting emerged at a very young age. He pursued his studies in Art and Advertising Techniques in Montreal, Canada. His artistic vision was profoundly influenced by the summers spent in his mother's beautiful village of Saghbine, in the West Bekaa. The village's colors, shapes, and simple, real-life scenes provided Samir with an extraordinary emotional wealth that continues to inspire his work. Now living and working in Beirut, Samir has participated in numerous exhibitions, showcasing his unique artistic style. Samir Tamari describes his artistic approach not as a technician but as an interpreter of the soul. He believes in creating visual enigmas that invite viewers to uncover underlying, cryptic messages. His style, especially in the Figurative series, is sincere, fresh, and laden with real-life messages and analogies. He narrates the grey sides of life in a pleasantly personal way, creating a balanced contrast between content and format. His work is akin to applying a soothing balm over a sour topic, offering a unique and thought-provoking artistic experience.
